Krisstian de Lara Encourages Local Filmmakers on Univision


Director, Krisstian de Lara, gets interviewed by Univision 26 for the premiere of his short film, Sub Rosa, at the annual Plaza Classic Film Festival under the Local Flavor Shorts program. The film screened on Saturday, August 10th, 2014 at the Foundation Room in a very popular area of downtown El Paso, Texas known for classic and local film screenings.

Krisstian participated at a Q&A session hosted after the screening. He was excited to answer questions from the audience and share with them, the film he directed in South Florida with the largest border community in the country, El Paso, Texas, Las Cruces, New Mexico and Juarez, Mexico.

During the interview, conducted by news reporter Alejandro Saldivar, Krisstian encourages local filmmakers from the border community to create films. He states:

It’s been a great journey and I am really proud to come here and screen it and show my fellow filmmakers from the border community of El Paso and Juarez that they can go anywhere and make a great movie.
