Director Krisstian de Lara gets interviewed by NBC’s KTSM to speak about the premiere of documentary short El Chácharero at El Paso Film Festival. El Chácharero is the third installment from a trilogy of documentary films that showcase the most shocking lives from the border community. This third chapter tells the story of a man that survives by picking up trash in downtown Juarez, Mexico, and its correlation between the US and Mexico border.
Newscast anchor, Susy Castillo, tells how Krisstian was able to gain trust from El Chácharero to film his story. Krisstian adds, “When I was filming him he was very open about how he finds food and eats it. And it doesn’t matter what kind of conditions the food is sometimes.”
Castillo invites audiences to El Paso Film Festival and catch the premiere of El Chácharero on the big screen. For more information about the premiere click here.
