Krisstian Speaks About His Upcoming Film on “El Tijerazo”


Producer and Director, Krisstian de Lara, gets invited to El Tijerazo show on Channel 44 to ask the communities of El Paso, Texas, Las Cruces, New Mexico and Juarez, Mexico to be a part of his upcoming short film titled Sub Rosa. Krisstian starts off the interview by inviting everyone to learn more about Sub Rosa, “Sub Rosa means ‘done in secret’ and it’s a story about the relationship between a son, a father and a step-mother. A story about paternal and romantic love and the clash between them.” Krisstian describes it as,

A dark story with a bright potential; and I’m very excited to share it.

El Tijerazo host Stella ‘China’ Garcia also emphasizes that the Sub Rosa staff are all unpaid volunteers and that all money collected will only be used for basic expenses such as food, transportation and equipment. Krisstian also mentions that anyone that donates to help fund Sub Rosa will receive exciting rewards such as online mentoring, logo designs and web page designs.

Krisstian wraps up the interview by reaching out to the audience for their help and support since he will be representing the border community across the nation in many festivals with Sub Rosa. He highlights that this will be a project that could only be made possible by the border community.
